This art piece is dedicated to motherhood and empowered females. Being a mother with compassion, love and tenderness is a loving gift from the universe.  As a mother you become protective over your family and children. You want the best and strive to be the best. When my daughter was born, I decided to breastfeed and it was the hardest obstacle for me becoming a new mother. I went through long days and nights loosing sleep to keep up with my milk production. Finally at 5 months of nursing Hera, a nurse suggested I do whats healthy for me and switch to formula. She said if your a happy mama you will have a happy baby. As a new parent everything felt new and intense, while thinking of formula was another intro to the unknown. Hera turned out fine switching to formula and while I was on the new mother journey this painting was birthed. All I could picture in my head was a women holding her baby with endless supply of nourishment. The images in the back of the woman are the elderly spirits holding blessings for the new baby and life. I realized later on that the peacock represents apart of my daughters name "Hera". When paintings come together from an experience , feeling or vision ,I enjoy recognizing the symbolism
